About the Business

Dogs have always been a part of my family, As a child my parents ran a Pets Hotel catering for many different kinds of animals whilst their owners went on holiday. They also bred Afghan Hounds and travelling the country going to dogs shows was a big part of life. Bathing and brushing their coats took many hours and so I learnt early on how to make a dog look and feel special, they would trot around the rings showing themselves off and you could tell they thought they were the bees knees.

After school and college, I went and learnt how to clip and groom professionally and gained a diploma as a Canine Beautician and poodle specialist. I ran The Pets Pooch Parlour from my parent kennels until I got married and went into office work which I found extremely boring, so after my children started school, I set up Pams Pooch Parlour at my house so that I would be there when they came home from school, that was over 25 years ago, they have now left home and I am still there clipping away.
