Kernow Pet Care

My name is Sarah Phizacklea and I have been in the animal care industry since 2001. I have gained much of my past experience through working part-time at a vets, in a pet shop and on a dairy farm.

I have many qualifications in animal care including NVQ, Small Scale Farming, First Diploma and National Diploma, which I studied at Merrist Wood College in Surrey. During my time there I experienced working in pet shops, veterinary surgeries and as a Country Ranger in Lightwater Country Park. As part of each course at Merrist Wood College we looked after the animals on-site, this included domestic pets, aquatics, reptiles, aviary birds (including parrots and owls), farm livestock and wild animals.

I have a Foundation Degree in Zoological Conservation studied at Cornwall College, Newquay. I have a Companion Animal First Aid certificate, am a Marine Mammal Medic for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) and a qualified Microchipper.
